Prototype Development and Manufacturing

Concept-to-operation prototype development and rapid manufacturing to convert your vision into reality.

Whether you need a full suite of ground-up prototype or proof-of-concept design, development and testing services, rapid prototyping and very small-scale manufacture & assembly services, design of retrofit parts and sub-systems or the re-manufacture of obsolete or no longer available parts and sub-systems, Scientific Systems has the multi-disciplinary capabilities to assist.

Prototype & Proof-of-Concept Development

Scientific Systems retains in-house facilities and equipment to support rapid prototype development for testing and evaluation, including but not limited to:

Engineering Analysis services, including mathematical modelling, mechanical, and electronic device simulation, and Regulatory and Quality  guidance

Capabilities in Electrical & Electronics design (power, analogue, digital), Mechanical design (including thermal, pneumatic, hydraulic design), and Software development (embedded, FPGA, various programming languages, user interfaces, databases, web-based applications etc.) to support in-house prototype development.

Computer Aided Design (CAD) and parametric modelling

Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design, population and assembly

Rapid additive manufacturing (commercial '3D printing')

General small-scale manufacture & assembly capabilities

Scientific Systems can also undertake re-manufacture of obsolete or no longer available parts and sub-systems, including design of alternative components and sub-assemblies where salient parts of large high-cost devices can no longer be sourced in their original form.

Rapid and Very Small-Scale Manufacture & Assembly

Scientific Systems is also capable of very small-scale manufacture and assembly of devices. Primarily this is to support Proof-of-Concept evaluation, field testing, Regulatory approvals, type-testing and other low-volume production requirements.

Manufacture capacity is typically much less than100 units, however it is heavily dependant on the exactly nature of the devices being manufactured. Please
